Hey man instead of trying to keep up with several college classes while at the same time trying to protect the country from terra-ists, why don't you go to college full time after you get out? Use the Army's college $ to par-tay. You could maybe get a part time job somewhere, just for beer money. Keg parties, sororities, hazing the newbies at the fraternity, teaching that crusty old dean a lesson.... just think about it.

Jonathan, your cat does NOT LIKE the $40.00 cat transporter I bought for him. He avoids it like the plague. Even though it's right next to his food, he stopped eating, preferring to stare a hole at the carrier instead. He's slowly wasting away and I can't stop it. His fur is gradually but definitely disappearing. He needs his father to rescue him. Come home fast. Hurry hurry run run. Love, Mom.

Hey cuz, it's not just the price of crude that's affecting the gasoline price at the pump. New Orleans was the only port accepting super tankers, plus there's a lot of crude-oil processing upriver from the city that was taken offline by the storm. Also, a lot of gasoline has been diverted from the rest of the country to this part of the country to make up for the gas that's stopped coming up from Louisiana.

I was worried about the kitty, too. I have some friends with an animal rescue group and was going to send them to get Simon, but then learn that he's being taken care of. I finally got to talk to Sherry yesterday and am glad you were finally able to get in touch with her, too.

As an east coaster who has ridden out several hurricanes, I can tell you that it is easy to get complacent, but after Hugo nobody in my family would ever think of staying through another catagory 5 storm.

Sherry is prodding me to do some blogging, but after seeing yours, I just collapsed into a feeling of inferiority. You are doing a great job, and if I can work up the courage, will join you and the rest. Love, SG
